Fresh Berry Kabobs

FRESH BERRY KABOBS

By LaFleur Magazine

HEALTHY SNACKS

Getting creative with dessert kabobs can be a whole lot of fun. A quick, light, snack of berries and a low calorie fruit-infused muffin can be just the ticket for a late morning or mid-afternoon pick-me-up. For a healthier option, use organic, handpicked berries.

FOR PARTIES

When making dessert kabobs for parties or appetizers, get creative and mix different fruits, berries, and chocolate dipped strawberries. Opt to serve melted chocolate on the side in colorful dipping cups for a unique pre-party appetizer. The assortment of colors arranged on each kabob provides a decorative element to any party table, buffet, or brunch. Select red, white, and blues for American-inspired events. A variety of cubed melons such as watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe are great for baby showers or birthday parties; they are chic, edible table decor. Set Bamboo sticks in a flower arranging foam set inside a vase or pitcher, or better yet, poke each end into a cheese ball for a festive, edible party tray.

LIGHT LUNCH

Try a fruit cheese combination or mix with various Italian meats for a variety of Antipasto. Grapes mixed with white cheddar and mozzarella cubes would be a great fruit cheese combination. Mix in a marinated turkey cube or salami for a light lunch or appetizer option.
