Cinderella's Gown
The process of creating spectacular wedding-day attire for Ella was not an easy task. Costume designer Sandy Powell drew inspiration from the 19th century and the 1950s to re-imagine the looks of each character. Staying true to Ella's good nature and pure heart, which captivated the heart of Prince Charming, Powell designed her clothes to reflect her character. Delicate fabrics, multi-color florals and modest purity shine through the gowns. Elaborate, yet understated elegance are noticeable in each dress. Powell’s work on Cinderella's attire included a twelve-layer ball gown, a single dress that took more than 550 hours to make, and eight pairs of shoes made of Swarovski crystal. The results will amaze and awaken every aspiring princess as we get caught up in the fairy tale moment.
