
BANANA NUT BREAD RECIPE
- Greased, 9 x 5-inch bread pan
- 4, medium-ripe bananas, mashed to about 1 1/2 cups
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Add sour cream to a small bowl
- Sift flour, baking soda and baking powder, adding to sour cream
- In separate bowl, mix butter, sugar, eggs, bananas and sour cream mixture
- Mix with electric hand-mixer
- Stir in nuts
- Spoon entire mixture in to greased pan
- Bake until a toothpick poked into the center of loaf comes out clean
- Bakes for about 60 minutes
- Allow to cool 15 minutes before serving
