MIRANDA LAMBERT: AT THE TOP ONCE AGAIN

By LaFleur Magazine

Singer songwriter, Miranda Lambert, known for her gorgeous hair, natural beauty, spunky personality and genuine music ability, is enjoying the success of her new song, "Drowns the Whiskey," released in May 2018. The song quickly reached number one, earning a No. 1 spot just three months after release, (although her experience at the top isn't new).

Since 2010, Miranda Lambert has won CMT's Female Vocalist of the Year, seven times. This almost doubles the next female artist to receive the same award. She has outearned Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride and Reba McEntire who have each won the revered Female Vocalist of the Year awards four times.

Lambert & Aldean

Lambert isn't shy about once again claiming a spot at the top. "I do like Jason Aldean, a lot . . . so it was a great song with an old friend." She added, "it is interesting that I haven’t had even a Top 20 in a long, long time. And then it goes No. 1 because it’s a dude."

The two time Grammy winner added, "But you know, if we went and looked at how many singles or records were sold for the Top 10 songs right now, I’d probably triple it on record sales. So it doesn’t matter."

Lambert's last No. 1 hit was her single, "Automatic" from her "Platinum" album released in 2014.
